Thanks Power Engineer - I'll digest the link and maybe, make a decision. But basically, you have more control when using the Giant SoftBox. And that's what I'm after.

You mentioned shooting outdoors as your preference for this shoot. A giant softbox, a lightstand, and any small breeze..... could be big trouble.

It depends on the wind. If things are calm, a big ol' silver 86" PLM with no diffuser would be my choice. If you have any breeze, I would go with the retro laser reflector. In fact, I'd probably just take both and see what the conditions are like.
