Thanks, c2!

What we're rolling out soon is just the beginning as there are a number of things that we want to do with the website, constantly updating and improving the information and content. But you've nailed it on the navigation issue - that was the first problem that we had to solve, and we hope that the new navigation is more logical.

Thank you for your suggestions - you should be able to find a few them already incorporated in the new site when its launched! The product pages include tabbed sections (below the product images) for Features, Specifications, "Arrives With" (a list and photo of each specific item that arrives in the box with the product), and Compatibility/Recommended Accessories.

There will also be a link to the forum in the top header (available from any page on the site) under the "Help Center" drop-down menu, but strengthening the connection between this forum and new site is also one of the first things on our to-do list after the launch.

Thanks!

p.s. - I love REI too! I was just in the store here in Nashville yesterday - canoeing trip coming up!

UPDATE: All of the background preparations and testing are going smoothly are we are currently planning make the switch and go LIVE with the new site tomorrow (Friday, June 24th).

Once the new site is live on the http://www.paulcbuff.com domain, we will begin redirecting pages from the AlienBees and White Lightning websites to their corresponding pages on the new site. If you're looking around on the AlienBees site while the redirecting occurs, you may click on a link and suddenly be taken to the new site. We hope that this will only occur for a brief period of time during the day, but we know that there may be some confusion and we will be here to take your calls if you need us.

If you experience any problems, please call our Customer Service Team:
Toll Free 1-800-443-5542
Local (615) 383-3982

Please note that the shopping cart will not be taken down and we do not anticipate any outage or problems with the cart. There will not be any change to the security of the cart or function of the cart as all changes feeding into it are purely cosmetic.

I'll update here again and let you know if there are any (unforseen) changes that delay the website launch.

Looks awesome, nice job! It would be nice to have a link to the main page from the tech forum, unless I'm missing it...

Thanks, James!

I agree completely! One of the first things we plan to do is update the look of the forum and make the connection between it and the website stronger - including highly visible links back to the website. Hopefully this can happen very soon...

You might want to change the color of accessories to make it stand out more from the other items in the header so that the eye gets drawn that way.

Congratulations. Love the new website design. No doubt that the new crisp, professional design will help to further increase sales. Love the design, love the product line -- man, this is turning into a love fest.

Very much more typical of today's websites....though I expected martian green or PCB pink as one of the theme colors instead of the pastel purple ;)

Since this is an overall Buff site rather than AB site, I wanted the colors to remain, but not as radical as the neon AB colors and cartoon look. I believe this adds professionalism to the sight. The colors are my choices, so blame it on me :D
