The RJ-11connectors appears to be OK on the X1600 & receiver. On the next outdoors shoot, what should I take note on if I encounter this problem again? I also need to find another AB or WL strobe to test my JrX system with which would help me greatly. Thanks for your assistance.

Are you also locking out the slave eye by dummy plugging the sync jack? Some old dusty memory of mine worked its way out of hiding and seems to recall another user having this problem. If I do recall correctly, if there is direct birght sun, and the slave eye is not locked out, this can happen with the X-series lights and Radio Poppers. I do not recall if it was only when running off the battery or not.

Also, if I remember correctly, this did not happen with the Bees, or when using CyberSync. I am going to try to test indoors today, and outdoors when it is sunny (stormy today).

The dummy plug was the culprit. RP mentioned the plug when they responded to my emails yesterday. So I ran the setup with the plug today & everything worked. Took out the plug & the setup stopped working. Thanks for your help.
