We thank you for your understanding, we tried an open forum before, and it too often degenerated into arguments over differing opinions. This forum is intended to be more empirical, though the line can blur. We do encourage you to participate with any technical concerns you may have.

I appreciate the concern over our vested interest in making sales, however we do not operate in that manner. We will not pressure you to buy something we do not truely believe will work to achieve your goals.

I also appreciate the desire for feedback from multiple users. Of the forums I have perused, I like visiting the Alien Bees group on Flickr. There are gobs of example photos, and a fairly active discussions. It also is welcome to einstein and WL lights. There are groups for each of the lights, but the Alien Bees forum is the most active.

Thanks - I'll give the Flickr group a look!

Cheers,
Darryl

I had a couple thoughts for your consideration.
The 64" PLM is over 5 feet wide. In an 8 foot ceiling height, you may be only 3 ft above the floor. That puts light where you may not want it. Perhaps you might want to consider a 51" instead?
Instead of a boom, perhaps save a little now and try clamps from above.
Do not forget cyber commander and the matching Einstein triggers. They are amazing.
Buying that quantity of lights will get you a good discount. Things are less expensive now than waiting. So if you think you might want it later, get it now and save money when considering the big picture. (eesh.. no pun intended)... Thinking Vagabond because you will take the lights somewhere someday? Also, CC can meter, control, and trigger, but a spare TX is cheap insurance? Spare flash tube?
There are more choices for grids (angle of spread) for one size of reflector than the other.
