Aside, how does one remove the data card out of the CyberCommander? I've pressed in and nothing like popping out as other cards do. It seems stuck.

It should pop in/pop out like a normal SD card slot. However, if you find that it will not do that, you may pry gently by placing your thumb nails just inside the area where the slot starts and pry the housing apart. The card may be getting caught just inside the opening and this will allow just a little pressure relief.

Yep. The case bottom was blocking the removal just enough to keep the card from coming out. Had to use my fingernail as mentioned to pry it apart enough to get it to pop out so I could grab it. Really a tight fit.

Thanks for the tip.

Greetings,

I just saw the firmware update for Cyber Commander. I went out and bought a San Disk 2 gb micro SD card with an adapter to perform the upgrade. It seems the Cyber Commander might not be compatible with the San Disk card. I can copy the PCBUFF folder to the card, but when I insert the card into the CC and replace the battery, it just sits there with a blank screen.

I tried copying the folder to the card multiple times and can't get the Cyber Commander to do anything with the San Disk card inserted. I tried formatting the card with Windows 7, and still no go.

I finally put the firmware folder on the Kensington card that was included with my CC and the firmware updated successfully.

Is there a known issue with San Disk cards? Is there a special way to format the card for the CC to recognize it?

Thanks for your help.

Steve

It needs to be formatted to FAT, not FAT32 or EXFAT. Also, ensure the card is not a 2GB SDHC card (there may be a few loating around, but the "HC" is typically for cards above 2GB).

I thought I'd add my issues I've had with Cyber Commander to see if it will help the engineers. I ordered 2 Einsteins to add to my setup. When they came in, I decided to go ahead and update the firmwares on the Einsteins and the CC to the newest. I hadn't had any issues with my Cyber Commander before then. I had version 27 on before. My setup now consists on 2 Einsteins, 2 B400s and a ARB800. My einsteins setup and sink perfectly on every channel and frequency. My B400s never really sync and fire. The ARB800 will start ok but when I switch to configure the other lights, it stops working. I get them every once in awhile but never all together. I've been through every frequency and tried all channels. I gave up after a few hours and decided to try something. I wanted to load the previous firmware. Problem. I couldn't find the link. I took the link of v32 and changed the number to download it. You might want to tell folks this or put the links back up. I loaded v29 and everything is working perfectly on the first try.
