Can someone please advise me how to best operate my ABR800 Ringflash with
my CyberCommander onboard a Canon 40D ro 5D while also running 2 Einsteins?

Can I continue to plug the ABR800 into the PC socket with the Sync cord and the Cyber Commander simulataniously use the hotshoe?

Thanks
JImmy

JT- I'm not sure I'm qualified to say which way is best but I use a similar setup to yours except that I run a CST on the 5Dii and hand hold the CC. Most of the time I just use the slave eye on the ABR 800 because I prefer not having it tethered to the camera. You should be fine with the PC cord too though.

Either set up would work. However, the control of the ABR would not be integrated with the Einsteins if the ABR did not have its own plus version reciever. I understand the argument that the controls are there at the camera and easy to get to, but the metering, simulataneous adjustment, etc. would not be available.

That's true and from a total integrated system standpoint makes the most sense. I should have mentioned that I'll most likely end up getting a + receiver for the ABR800 down the road... but for now have been spending $ on other stuff like modifiers.

Thanks to everyone for the advice.
Looks like a +Receiver is the answer.
I still need to use my light meter for spot controls and so the PC socket is a must for my sekonik.
