Can someone please advise me how to best operate my ABR800 Ringflash with my CyberCommander onboard a Canon 40D ro 5D while also running 2 Einsteins? Can I continue to plug the ABR800 into the PC socket with the Sync cord and the Cyber Commander simulataniously use the hotshoe? Thanks JImmy |

JT- I'm not sure I'm qualified to say which way is best but I use a similar setup to yours except that I run a CST on the 5Dii and hand hold the CC. Most of the time I just use the slave eye on the ABR 800 because I prefer not having it tethered to the camera. You should be fine with the PC cord too though. |

Either set up would work. However, the control of the ABR would not be integrated with the Einsteins if the ABR did not have its own plus version reciever. I understand the argument that the controls are there at the camera and easy to get to, but the metering, simulataneous adjustment, etc. would not be available. |

That's true and from a total integrated system standpoint makes the most sense. I should have mentioned that I'll most likely end up getting a + receiver for the ABR800 down the road... but for now have been spending $ on other stuff like modifiers. |

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Looks like a +Receiver is the answer. I still need to use my light meter for spot controls and so the PC socket is a must for my sekonik. JImmy |
