Seems like I've tried a lot of things and still can't control the power. It fires and the light meter function is great, but I can't seem to adjust the power by using CC. Any ideas?

have you followed the steps as described here?

The tell tale will be do you have a vertical blue bar on the channel the Einstein is assigned to?

Just some things to check (in case you haven't already):

- Latest Firmware: Einstein is v22, CC is v29
- Used 'Open Memory from Studio" in CC to load Einsteins.
- Are in the Blue (flashpower) adjustment screen, not the Red (modeling) screens.
- The CSXSV or Sync Cord & power cable are plugged in & seated correctly (this may not be an issue if you are getting flashes). For the Cybersyncs, make sure the frequencies of the CC and the receiver units match and each Einstein unit is set on a different channel.
- Make sure a black bar exists for each Einstein channel.
- Make sure you're not on a 'null' or 'inactive' channel (grey line indicator under the selected channel') on the CC; You're using either a single, active channel (green line indicator under the selected channel) or the 'All' or 'Group' channels features.
- If all is working you should see a blue-fill on the black Einstein bars respond to the up/down motions from the left joystick, and (depending on the mode) your modeling lights should also get brighter/dimmer based on input.

Yeah, my CC serial is 002283, so it sounds like it's up to date.
I got no solid bars on display. I've checked everything you guys mentioned.

Do I have to define the Einstein in SPEC LIGHTS?
If so, how?

If you have the words "Einstein 640" then you should have everything set up properly. If not, be sure to go to SETUP>OPEN MEMORY>open from studio.
