Just bought the cybersync CSRB, but none of the cords that came with it fit the PC connection of my original 580ex (not the II). What cord do I need and where can I buy one?

I also own that flash, it doesn't have ANY pc connection. I'm a little confused about you saying none of the cords fit your pc connection. The mark II version has the standard connection. If your referring to the two prong type reciptical, that is for an external battery pack.

Go to this linkhttp://www.white-lightning.com/parts.html

At the bottom of the page it has what you need for less than $16

Yes you need a hot shoe adapter or you can modify your flash to add a sync jack.
