Post subject:  220v Alien bees with Vagabond mini

Greetings!

I live in Russia. The voltage here is 220v.
I've just bought AB 1600 220v version. I plan to use it with Vagabond mini 220v.
Will the Alien bee 220v unit work with Vagabond mini 220v? Or I should buy a 110v version of alien bee to be able to use it through the Vagabond mini 220v all the time?

Thank you!

The 220V Alien Bee will work with the 220V Vagabond Mini.

If you are ordering directly through us, you can place an order now. If you are ordering through the Australian or European distributors, you will need to contact them regarding ordering. While orders are being taken, we are not shipping as of now. We are expecting to start shipping in mid to late December.

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a Vagabond Mini, but I can't decide which version.
In Peru the voltage is 220v as well, but I may travel to 110v countries eventually, back and forth. I need, if possible, a portable solution to any voltage.

Which combo (Vagabond + Lights) should I buy?
Can I expect a Vagabond Mini 230VAC to work with 110 AC Power?
Are both versions able to be plugged to any voltage?

Also, I may need an extra battery for the chosen vagabond, VMB8.8A works fine I guess.

Thank you for your answer. I'm really confused :|

Either Vagabond can be charged from any voltage. So the output voltage you choose is up to you, and if you have other lights or devices that you wish to run from one. If you travel frequently, I would strongly recommend Einstein, as it can be powered from 95-265VAC. Then, either Vagabond mini will work.
