Just started shooting with a Silver PLM with an elinchrom attachment and front diffussion.

Notices a plus red/magenta compared to other lights- I have to add green and cyan to bring skin tones in. Has anyone else noticed this or come up with ways to remedy?

I'll test over the weekend with a UV gel on the strobe head, see if that helps.

Do you get the color cast with and without the diffuser?

I have not seen a color cast with my silver PLM alone. I don't put a diffuser on it.

I have done many tests with Elinchrom RX600 and Einstein and found color temperature and R/G axis error essentially identical, and quite small compared particularly Profoto Compact and D1.

I have also tested current silver PLMs without diffuser and found very little deviation from either bare flash unit. The front diffusers perform the same as practically all other white diffusers and white umbrellas I have tested from different manufacturers, and typical drop the color temperature by 100 to 200°K, with little change in R/G error. This is inherent in the fabric . . . I have never seen a completely neutral diffuser fabric from anybody.

I'm actually seeing the same thing as John. The silver PLM V2 seems to create a green shift compared to the bare strobe. I usuallay have to set the tint about 10 units higher in Lightroom. I'm not seeing such a large shift with the silver PLM V1 or the white PLM V2. In fact, I', pretty happy with the color neutrality of all other PCB modifiers I own.
