Hello,
I'm a proud owner of AlienBees gear since last october. Over the last few months I really liked using my Large Silver PLM. Both outdoor/indoor without any trouble, even with the white diffuser i attached to it permanently.

Unfortunately a couple of months ago I had a tiny shoot outdoor without assistant and wind. At some point, there was some and... Well, you know how it turned out :?.

The PLM, the ab head, lightstand and vagabond powerpack felt on the floor.
Hopefully, the head/powerpack and the umbrella itself are 100% OK.
Really, my umbrella is OK. there is one thing who broke though... Its the iron part which holds the PLM to the head, its broken in two. Here are attached a few pictures of the desaster.... Any luck to fix it? As the PLM is in backorder... And i'm in Belgium..

Replace it, tweak it? I really love the PLM and i will need it a lot next spring...
Thanks in advance,

We cannot repair the PLM's, and the shaft on the V.1 PLM is not interchangeable. The only possible solution I can think of is to insert a rod obtained form a hardware store into the remaining portion of the shaft and secure it with an epoxy or similar.

If I understand the pictures correctly, you can get a 36" 7mm steel rod and replace the one you have...
