I dont know what is going on. I have 2 sets of CST/CSR remotes that were working fine in some AB400s. Now I am trying to use them with some Impact VDS400 monolights, and for some reason, they will fire the first time, but then not again unless I disconnect/reconnect them. I am using the 1/8" jack in the monolights, which are working fine with another brand trigger.

Also, every time I press the test button on the CRT or CSR, the CSR LED lights up red (and doesn't trigger the flash). The manual says the LED should be green. Should it be solid green or blinking green? Does the red LED indicate there is a problem? It is happening with both sets.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a transistor drain issue. Is the same behaivor if you use a slave cell with some flashes, like the Canon 580 EX, where you must turn off the flash to trigger it again with the optical slave cell.

Don't know if there is a solution for your problem, but you may want to test turning off your lights after they fire for the first time.

This is known as "latching up". There really is not much that can be done with the equipment you have. You may want to consider trading the remotes for battery operated ones, that tend do this less often. This is assuming you are within the exchange period.
