Is there any way of stopping the Einstein from firing before it's ready? Using the Cybersync, I can trigger the Einstein before the flash is full recharge again, this causes underexposure on some of my shots. I rather the flash waits until its fully ready before allowing the fire again. |

No, the Einsteins will fire when triggered. You can set visual or audio recycle indicators to tell you when the light has recycled. You can typically set only the highest powered light to alert you. By the time this one alerts, the rest will also be ready. |

I find this a strange design, most lights I've worked with won't fire until the light is ready to fire again. In a photoshoot, when you are firing away, I would rather not be able to fire than to find out later that the photo was under exposed. When working in a studio and music going, its often hard the hear the beep from the Einstein. I would like to know if this will be included as an option in future release of the firmware. |

If you can't hear the beep then use the model light recycle indicator on one of your lights. |

All of our lights do that. It based on the theory that an under ewposed shot is better than no shot (or a black shot). Even still, in a set up with multiple lights, some may be fully recycled, some not, and a shot is taken, some lights would fire anyway (because they are fully recycled), and it could be come difficult to tell if they all went off. We are not currently working on a firware change to change that. |

Yes, I tried using the modelling light but I had to turn it off due to heating problems. I don't know about others, when I am doing a fashion shoot, most models I've worked with are used to changing the pose after each flash. If the light doesn't go, the model doesn't move. I would rather not have the ability to fire then to under expose a shot, in the last few shoots I've missed out on some shots because of under exposure. When you have multiple lights set up, you can usually work out a noise pattern due to the different recycle time for each head, if the pattern changes you know something didn't fire. I know this is a minor thing but sometimes when you are in th zone, you just don't hear or see anything else! :D Another alternative is to fit a bigger DIY pizzo speaker so I can hear it through the noise. |

+++1 I totally agree with nelsonlai75. The ability to select "wait until charged" should be implemented as a user switchable option. Should be a SNAP for the engineers at PCB. |

Everything is a SNAP as long as someone else is doing it. :D I'm not saying that it shouldn't be done... I just don't think it is quite so trivial a task. If it enhances Einstein then it has merit but it is still a firmware change for Einstein and CC and the corresponding menus on both. |
