Post subject:  Vagabond 2 Problem

I bought a Vagabond 2 power unit late last summer. I used it on one shoot with my Photogenic lights. It worked flawlessly. I put it on the shelf and plugged it in every couple of weeks or so to charge. Just before Christmas, I took it on another shoot with the same model of Photogenic light. As soon as I plugged the light into the Vagabond, both fuses blew. I knew the disclaimer up front about using it with other brands of lights, and just chalked it up to an incompatibility issue. I assumed that once my Einsteins arrived, everything would be fine. Last week when I went to plug the Vagabond in for a regular charge I had to replace the fuses. Unfortunately, the new fuses blew as soon as turned the Vagabond on. It was not plugged into power when the fuses blew.

Anyone had a similar experience? Is there anything that I can check here? Does it simply need to go back to PCB for repair?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

If the unit is blowing fuses at that rate, it should come back in for repair.

I'm filling out the repair form. Where do I find the serial number for the vagabond 2?

It is on the inverter itself on the orange bezel. It is a white sticker that says "Vagabond II" then teh serial number is just below.
