Flashzebra.com has the adapters you need. Sony uses a proprietary shoe carried over from minolta, and since they are the only ones with that design, many manufacturers do not make direct fit components. The adapter is about $15. The speedlite has an optical trigger that can be activated via aproprietary sequence from a TTL master, but not a regular flash. Flashzebra has optical triggers as well as adapters for our recievers (but power cannot be adjusted). |

So if I purchase a package, I won't be able to control output with my a900 Sony? I'm looking for some studio lights, but I want full control. Wireless |

As with any quality remote system, you will need an inexpensive adapter to allow the remotes to go onto the hotshoe. This is due to the non standard shoe shape of the Sony/Minolta cameras. You can connect the remotes to the PC terminal of the camera, however, that is rather cumbersome without a shoe mount. |

I use Sony A900 and a700 and I have the inexpensive adapter which seem to work fine, but I mainly use the Sony adapter Model number: FA-HS1AM. YES it is pricey but I really like it. It worked great with my CC and Einstein. |

This brought back memories of when I used to shoot with an a900/a700 combo.. That hot shoe is such an annoying nuisance. Fret not, just purchase the adapter showing below(and stay away from the sony adapter, its overpriced JUNK) http://www.flashzebra.com/products/0131/index.shtml |
