Is it safe to try that connection with the two batteries connected to the inverter?

saw it this morning.. congrats Paul & Co! :D

My 2 VML's have been bulletproof so far. Def ordering a few more soon.
Rob's idea for using it as a lightweight in-car inverter is pretty dope.

I communicated with the battery manufacturer and they say it is safe and will work. Just make sure both batteries are charged . . . connecting a low battery to a charged one is never a good idea. The easiest way to connect two batteries would be to make up an Anderson to Anderson cord and plug the second battery into the front panel charger port. It's a bit tricky to get the connector polarities right so make sure the connection is red to red and black to black.

Very interesting in part because RG mentions the possible imminent discontinuance of the Vagabond II and development of a lithium-powered big brother to the VML. I, for one, would be very interested in a Vagabond Mega Lithium with an upsized inverter that could provide quicker recycle times than the Mini (and, no, I'm definitely not complaining about the Mini).

There is some truth in this . . . working up course of action now. We are no longer confident in the VII supplier and have lost $500,000 due to them. Yes, we are beginning exploration of a bigger Lithium unit, but it will take time, so there are no time projections at this point.

Perhaps the Vagabond "Mega" Lithium could use a beefed up inverter and two battery packs that are the same as the mini. That would save on the number of different parts PCB would need to manufacture/stock/inventory for their portable power segment.

We're looking into that possibility. But this will take time so please don't start bombarding Customer Service with "When can I get a higher power Mini Vagabond" . . . they don't know yet.

They've been here since January and the order time is steadily decreasing.
