Hey,

I have a Cactus v4 wireless transmitter and receiver. They don't seem to work the ringflash though... when I plug in the receiver or remove it from the flash unit, it flashes. But it won't flash when I click the test button or take a photo.

Does the ABR have certain requirements for wireless usage? What am I doing wrong?! :(

Have you tried those remotes with another Alien Bee, or any other light? Do you need a plug adapter to get the wire to fit (1/4 to 1/8 inch adapter)? Does the ringflash fire from the standard sync cord?

There are no unusual requirements for the ringflash to trigger it.

I don't mean to ask silly questions.... just speaking from experience - are you sure the Tx and Rx batteries are good? Also, are you referring to the test button on the remote or the ABR800?

I gave away my V4's to a friend but I'll try to grab them back and test this out (unless you get an answer before).
