My vagabond mini is set to arrive monday. I will be using it with an X1600. If I dial the X1600 modeling light down to its lowest power settings am I still technically using 250w of power? I normally use my X1600 in 1/4 power mode and in most the shooting I haven't needed absolute full power. Just asking in case I don't need to make a trip to the store to pick up specific bulbs for the VML.

The wattage of the bulb does reduce as you reduce power. In full power mode, the range of wattage is 250W to about 8W. In 1/4 power mode, the range is 60W to about 2W.
