My Einsteins work perfectly with the Cybercommander system. And my speedlights all work perfectly with the Pocketwizard TTi system.

I was hoping to combine an Einstein with some Speedlights using the Power MC2, but it's given me nothing but grief. The Einstein frequently resets to a standard channel for no apparent reason, or simply stops responding to adjustments from my AC3. I can usually get it to work again by turning everything off and on again, but what a nuisance.

All my lights and slaves have been updated to the latest firmware.

Anybody else having these problems?

Do you happen to have V1 Einsteins?

No. I bought all my Einsteins in the last 2 months. And I've checked all firmware to make sure it's the latest. The MC2 just seems to lose its connection after a few frames.

LPA created the MC2 on their own, and directed firmware changes to Einstein to create the MC2/Einstein interface. So we will have to pass this on to LPA for technical analysis.

I have the exactly same problem. I usually have to remove and then re-insert the MC2 to resolve the issue which is a huge inconvenience in the middle of a session! I called tech-support and was told that this was a reported issue that they were investigating. I was also told that I would receive a call back regarding a solution...still waiting.

Which tech support? We have contacted Pocket Wizard and have not heard back.

Paul C. Buff tech support. I asked if I should have been calling Pocket Wizard and was simply told that they knew of the problem and were looking into it. I was not advized to contact Pocket Wizard.

I have received quick responses from Ian at Pocket Wizard's "beta lab" when I have had issues with MC2.

Feedback/issues should be sent to PocketWizard via the “Inquires Form” on their “Contact” page or simply email them to betalab@pocketwizard.com and put "beta" in the subject line.

Ok. They are still looking into the problem, we are recieving "progress" notices, but there is not a solution as of yet.
