What is the best way to insure long battery life. I know you should not totally discharge the battery but what about charging. Is it ok to leave it on the charger overnight or should it unplugged once it shows a full charge?

It will auto shut off the charge when full. There is no reason to worry about exactly when to unplug it. Do not fully charge it then store for long times in extreme heat. Do not introduce to water, especially salt water. Treat the Vagabond Mini battery as you would your camera battery.

The battery manufacturer's recommendations are to charge frequently, before complete discharge, and to store at about 3/4 charge. But these are not rigid rules and often not very practical in typical use.

I doubt that simply charging overnight before or after use will significantly degrade battery life. As TK say, treat them like camera or laptop batteries . . . their performance is essentially the same as these.
