Just bought the Einstein, TT1 mini and MC2. I am not yet proficient with these but I cannot seem to be able to control the combination of these items. I think it's the MC2 but it may be one of the other two items.

Power tracking is on manual yet some time (and not all the time) when I change the ISO the power output changes. The modeling light will go to sleep after 30 sec. I removed the sleep from the MC2 and it starting going to sleep after 2 seconds. I use the FEC to knock down the output to -2f (-5f on the Einstein). It works for a while then does not respond with a change to FEC. Then it jumps up to +1f (-2f on the Einstein) with half a shutter press. Then after a few shots it will drop to -2f again.

Anyone experiencing the same? I reset all to factory setting and all issues continue erratically.

It sounds like settings in the TT1. However, since the system extends beyond the MC2 out to products we do not carry and into cameras we have not thouroughly tested, we are unable to properly diagnose the issues. Your best bet would be to give LPA (Pocket Wizard) a call. 802-658-0038 xt 572.

In my opinion, HHS itself, and particularly HSS type hacks, are not a very mature science and will always result in a lot of fiddling around and unpredictable results. I would rather just settle for a Nikon D40 - D70 or Canon G11-12 or whatever the latest version is and use Einstein or AB800 and shoot at real sync speeds of 1/1600 or so, with plenty of power.

The problem I have with Canon G cameras and similar is the limitation of f8 smallest apertures.

Nikon - Canon . . . wake up and make a modern CCD SLR with a 12 MP sensors with 1/8000 electronic shutter.
