Hello, just joined the forum.

I have searched here and other sources and can not find
a definite answer to this problem. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

I'm going to order the E640 but at this time do not need all
the features that the wireless set up can provide. All I want to do is be able to fire the light remotely using a PW Plus II
attached to the light and one attached to my D3s or for metering with my Sektonic 358 having the PW module. This
will allow me to continue to use existing lights and modifiers
during the time I gradually update to a fully wireless system.

Questions:

1. Using the proper sync cord is will the PlusII fire the light?
2. If so, does PCB Inc. carry this cord?
3. If (1) is true and (2) is false can you help a non-electronic
type by supplying the names of the tips needed for this
plug. I believe the connection on the light is a "standard"
3.5mm phone type.

Thank you

Wayne Anderson

Yea, pw work fine with the Einstiens. Uses 1/8 on both ends. I think pcb sells what you need, if not go to flash zebra.com

Thanks Photodan, I appreicate you taking the time to
answer.
I need to adjust to this forum's search. As I was using
google a moment ago I was directed to a PCB page here
that gave me an insight into my problem. I'll look harder
next time to avoid asking an answered question. My bad.

Not sure what information you have found, but yes, we do carry the cord (CSSC). However, a non-attenuating 3.5 to 3.5 mono cord will work. The shorter ones at Radio Shack are either stereo or attenuating, which seem to not work with Pocket Wizards/PCB lights (dont know about other lights).

Thanks TS
Just finished ordering my light. I had heard your customer service was great, it
was a major deciding factor in choosing a lighting system.

Thanks

Wayne
