Hello,

I'd like to receive some information about the external battery that can be used with Flash compacto FS-300D (linkstar) to be used outdoors. My flash is:

I'd like you to inform me about the stuff I'll need to work with it, cabless .. and what you find necessary to work with Flash FS-300D and my camera Canon 40D.

In Spain the electric current is 230V, is it there any problem?

Thanks for your help.

Having looked at the link provided, it appears the light is analogue. If so, it is highly likely the unit will work fine with the Vagabond Mini. However, we are unable to guarantee compatability beyond the 60 Day return policy. The specs indicate 110V and 230V options, however, I cannot tell if that is built into the light, or if there are two different versions. I would recommend the 230V VML, as you may have other devices you wish to run/charge off of it.

The only cable you would need is a Type I power cord (China/Austrailia type), which should be available from the distributor from whom you purchase the battery. The charger will need either a US to local style plug adapter, or replace the cord with a local style appliance cord (similar to the cord for your camera's battery charger, portable radio, lap top, etc.)

First of all, thanks for your kindly help.

I understand from your e-mail that you recommend me to buy the one of 230v, am I right?

In that case, do you guarantee that I won't have any problems with my Flash FS-300D?

About the guarantee, is it valid just for 60 days? Am I going to have any problems in the USA customs? Is there anyway to avoid to pay the charges as for example to send it as a present? How long would it take to get to Spain?

Thanks

Yes, that is the product I suggest.

Since we do not manufacture that flash, and since we have not tested with that flash (impossible to test every flash), we cannot fully guarantee compatability. We do offer a 60 day return policy if the product does not work as you hoped (or for any other reason). However, most analogue lights do not have problems, and I would be surprised if yours did experience any.

The Vagabond has a 1 year warranty, but there is a 60 day return period.

All questions regarding shipping and customs are outside of my area of expertise as well as the scope of the forum. You will get better answers to your questions by contacting Customer Service. If you have never ordered from us before, you will need to contact the European distributor, as they will be who you are ordering from and have a better idea of the shipping and customs proceedures.
