This sample page shows the framework for all of the major product pages, with multiple image views for each product, direct manual download, tabs with information on the product's features, specs, what the product arrives with, and what the product is compatible with (and incompatible with) or recommended for use with.

The new site will additionally feature all new packages, though the same Paul C. Buff accessory discount applies, allowing you to build your own package as well.

The HELP Center will also be home to phase one of the "Studio Flash Explained" section - to be updated with more and more information over time - currently including an online version of Paul's famous "blue book" (Lighting for Still Photography), a lighting terms glossary, and explanations of topics such a flash duration, sync speed, color balance, and the inverse square law.

Sooooooooon. :D

I hope to have specific details later this week as we finalize the plans to go live and I'll post everything here.

The new site will be located at www.paulcbuff.com and all pages on www.alienbees.com and www.white-lightning.com will be redirected to their corresponding new pages on the new site. There will not be any down time for the sites, but we just wanted to offer a heads up that a big change is coming soon.

Nat and webmaster Jonathan have worked very long and hard on this, and IMHO have done a great job.

When you go to paulcbuff.com, use the refresh button on your browser . . . otherwise you may pick up the current pages from cache . . . standard practice when websites are reconstructed. If you have specific pages bookmarked, the links may not work properly once the new site comes up . . . also standard in this situation.

I grew really fond of the current page because of it's color and uniqueness though I must admit navigating the alienbees website was a little challenging since some items were on one page and I wanted to see what other related items were available.

1) See if you can add a related items list for other products
2) Highlight what sells best with related purchases (ala beauty dish with the ab800, case cover etc.)
3) Please add a reflector option list for the einstein since it isn't available on the einstein page.
4) Can you put a link to the forum under the top headlines?

All in all, I like the new product layout and it feels much like a standard checkout system like what REI has to offer.

good luck with the new layout!
