I just bought the CC which is my very first light meter. I have read the instruction book 2-3 times and still have questions. My lights are the Ultra 600. #1. On the initial set up do I set my light to full power on the light itself. #2. Do I format the CC each time I set up. #3. How do i find out the wattage of the modeling lamp of the Ultra 600 for step 9. Thank you David |

Once the light is set up in the CC, use the left joystick left or right to select the channel the light is assigned to. Then use the left joystick up or down to adjust power. You will see -0.0f in the horizontal blue bar when it is at full power. David Baker wrote: #2. Do I format the CC each time I set up. The initial set up is not necessary to do each time you shoot. Generally, the CC will retain whatever the last setttings were. However, it is also a good idea to go to SETUP>SAVE AS and save common set ups to either the SD card and/or to an internal location. Personally, I have a "master" set up saved to INTERNAL1 and SD50. This has all of my lights spec'ed and set to full power. I can easily use one, some or all of my lights if they are all already programmed. Other common ones are saved to SD 49, 48, etc. I start with SD50, as it is quicker to access than SD1 in the OPEN MEMORY screen (keeps you from having to scroll through individual channels). If you are experiencing problems, you can go to OPEN MEMORY=Open from STUDIO. When activated, white or gray dashes will appear at the bottom. You can tell the status of the light by the color of the dash. If no dash appears, then you knwo you have a communications problem and can start trouble shooting there. Again, this is only if you run into problems. David Baker wrote: #3. Stock model lamps were 250W BBA1 bulbs. However, if replacement bulbs were installed, it should be on the packaging or on the bulb itself. |
