Post subject:  would an older b800 need to warm up a few sec before firing

I bought a b800 a couple of years ago off of ebay, not using it much until recently and i noticed that when i first turn it on after like a sec or 2 the green light will come on, when i press the test button, nothing happens. sometimes i can press it a sec time and nothing happens, most of the time it fires on the 2nd press after that it fires fine everytime, not sure how old it is. is it normal for the older ones to have to warm up for a few sec? or is a repair in order? I got my new b800 today and plugged it up, as soon as the green light came out i pressed the test button and it fired first try. thanks for any help

I'm not Tech Support but I would think that you probably want to send the unit in for repair.

This is not normal. Could be worn test button or many other things.

Anything is repairable, if you pay enough! Fortunately AB repairs are generally about $40, including shipping back to you, if you are within the U.S.
