Happy new owner of an assortment of great Buff products. I was wondering if keeping the CSXCV Transceiver attached to the Einstein in the Carrying Bag is a bad idea. I'm concerned about damaging it. But I'm also concerned that pluggin and unpluggin it in each time may wear out the contacts on the transceiver. Are any of these legitimate concerns? What do you do?

Unplug it. It could take years to wear out the contacts, as opposed to 10 seconds to break it while in the case.

I remove all my Einstein CSXCV receivers from the lights, stick them in the little pieces of foam they shipped with, and toss them all into a small Pelican 1050 Micro Case. I also keep two spare CSXCV units for my six lights in that case, too, along with my CyberCommander and two CST transmitters (one is a spare). It's essential to anticipate equipment failure, though it has never happened to me with a Buff product.

We have had the CSXCV products for almost 2 years. I have not heard one case of the pins breaking. This is not to say it has not happened or cannot happen, but the interface is not as fragile as some percieve it to be.
