I purchased a CST and CC. The CC slides onto the hot shoe without any problem. The CST won't. Even with a ridiculous amount of pressure it won't slide in. I have tried it on 3- camera bodies with the same results. The amount of pressure required to push the silver ball contact on the bottom of it up seems to be far more than what should be needed. Am I missing something here or does this unit need to go back?

Can't say for sure but it sounds like it will need to be exchanged (thankfully, a pretty painless process). Best to give Customer Service a call on Monday.

The CST is snug the first time you attempt to instal it. This is normal, though some are hesitant to force the unit on. You can stand the CST upright on a firm surface and press down to loosen the contact. This should allow the CST to be installed more easily. Do not press down extremely hard, just a little to loosen it.

Yeah, I just received mine yesterday. It took a lot more force than I was comfortable using at first, but now it's on my Canon 30D.
