Please tell me if fan noise is a common problem I have 2 E640 flashes one really loud the other really quite no nosie should i return for and exchange new less than a week old

Some folks have complained about the fan noise while it doesn't bother others. Personally, it doesn't really bother me. More importantly, make sure the fan is actually running on the really quiet unit :?

It really depends on the type of noise being made. I would suggest calling into customer service to discuss this, as sometimes we can hear the sound over the phone.
