I read the manual for the cybersync. My camera is firing the CST I even just hit the test button on the CST, the red light on the CST flashes, the CSXCV transceiver is plugged into the Einstein but nothing is happening. I tried unplugging the transceiver twice and plugging it back in. Still nothing. I tried powering down the Einstein and restarting still nothing. Is there a certain mode the Einstein needs to be in to use the Transceiver correctly? I just received my Einstein, CST, and CSXCV today. I hope I don't have to send anything back. I have an important shoot SUN.

Out of the box, the E640 should be set to ch1 freq1 in the bottom two panels. It does not matter what frequency you use, but the dial on the cst should match that of the E640. The cst dial has a notch cut in it, with one end having a deeper cut, which appears darker. This end is your frequency indicator. Odd nubered frequencies are marked, and even frequencies are in between and unmarked.

Thank you so much for your fast reply. I put the middle cut facing "1" and it works! YAY! Thanks again!!!

Was my Einstein supposed to come with little silver dish that surrounds the front of the light?

No. It's mentioned on the product page...

The "silver dish" is a reflector. If you look at the "Arrives With" tab on the Einstein product page there is a note that describes that the Einstein does not come with a reflector or CSXCV as standard equipment.

Reflectors, soft boxes, PLM, etc are all types of light modifiers that you can use to shape the light from Einstein. Without any modifier, the Einstein throws light in many directions (picture a half-sphere sitting on the front of the Einstein... the light would fill that sphere). The reflector is like a nozzle for the Einstein that sprays the light in a more defined direction. Hopefully that analogy makes sense... just trying to help. :P
