Einstein v.30 firmware is no posted for download. This firmware allows the fan to be controlled by the internal temperatures of the light. The fan will run at slower speeds at cooler temperatures and higher speeds as the light warms up.

ADMIN: Update failed with 4GB card but works with 2GB card. If the largest card the unit will accept is 2GB please note that in instructions.

"a new or formatted (FAT16) standard-capacity MicroSD card (2GB or less in size)"

After update, like everyone already reported, there is no noise, In order to verify that Einstein is on, I keep very low Modeling lamp on, until I am ready to take pictures.
I also noticed that, after firmware update, both communication channel and frequency was reset to 01, hence cyber commander did not communicate/work until I readjusted in each Einstein manually based on my previous setting.
Thanks
Ravi S

I ordered lights today. Is this something I need to worry about when I get them or they will already have the latest?

Hi,

I just upgraded my firmware to V.30 but now the modelling light is permanently on. I can increase and decrease the power of the modelling light but can't turn it off. Can you please help ? If the issue can't be fixed, can you please let me know where I can download the v.29 firmware again.

I'm using the Australian Mini Vagabond and Einstein.

With no remote controls on the Einstein, press the "Function" button until the "model" window is highlighted in blue. Press the up or down arrow buttons to scroll through the options until "off" appears in that window. Does the model lamp still stay on? If so, this is probably an issue in the hardware, not the firmware. However, if you would like to try to re-install 29 email us, and direct the email to David.
