| I'm buying and Einstein system with 3 lights and commander and receivers. Other than having to replace batteries, any reason not to buy the receiver with the batteries? | |

| For the Einsteins you do not want the CSR+ or CSRB+, as they will not communicate the power control (as well as some other functions). You will want to go with the CSXCV http://www.paulcbuff.com/csxcv.php it is designed specifically for Einstein, and costs considerably less. For use with other lights, battery versions can work with a wider variety of lights (including speedlites and other brands, albeit without power control), but will shut off after an hour of non-use. AC powered recievers will work with most mono lights (though not all), and will maintain power as long ac they are plugged in. This is good for permanent/semi permenant installs or hard to reach apllications where a breaker may be used to apply or shut off power. | |
