| I understand that Alien Bees are supposed to be powered by pure sine wave inverters preferably, but definitely not modified wave inverters. I have a PWM sine inverter that is mounted to our equipment cart that we have been using for a couple years. I recently purchased two AB800's and wanted to see if this inverter would work since it is not modified wave. Thank you for your help. Here is a link to the inverter. http://www.tripplite.com/en/products/mo ... delID=2905 | |

| You may be able to run one light off of it, but it would probably shut down as it starts to recycle the light. It could sense this as a spike, and the overload protection would kick in and shut off the inverter. Also, a 2000W inverter could handle about 16A at 120V. Alien Bees peak at about 18A. This could also trigger the overload protection. I would almost gurantee two lights will not work. | |
