Im not sure this is possible but Im hoping it is. I want to be able to set 4 lights, 3 of which are speedlights and one of which is a Einstein. I use a cybercommander and want to be able to meter each light individually. Would CSRB+ do the trick? All of the speedlights have PC ports. I dont care about adjusting the speedlights as I know I cant do that, but just firing them from different channels would be the best.

CSRB+'s for each speedlite is the way to go. This will allow you to meter and trigger collectively or individually or as groups. As you said, power adjustment is not available for the speedlites.

AHH Im pulling my hair out. Im trying to do what I would think would be pretty simple but apparently Im an idiot. (no kidding huh?) Anyway, I cant seem to get my einstein to fire separately from my speedlight and then my other speedlight to fire separate from those two. Ive tried every combination of channel and group assignments I can think to try but for some reason, it seems the main channel (einstein) has to be active to get the other two to fire. Anyone have any pointers? Im using a cymber commander along with 2 CSRB+ receivers and the einstein receiver. Thanks!

First, Ensure on the recievers and the Einstein, all ae set to the same frequency, but different channels. Cyber Commadner also needs to be set to the same frequency.

On the main FLASH screen of the Cyber Commander, do you have 3 white dashes at the bottom of the channels? If so, are they in the channel collumns you expect them to be (i.e. the channels you selected on the recievers)?

Do your flashes have an optical slave eye active? This would be common on Nikon flash units and called "SU4". If so, this is could be what is triggering those lights from the Einstein rather than the CC itself. All optical slaves should be turned of (including Einstein's) for the system to work most effectively.

Likely the most efficient way of getting these to work would be to give us a call, and letting us walk you through this over the phone if possible.

Thanks for the reply. I do have the CC and all receivers set to the same frequency. I have the Einstein set for channel 1, one CSRB+ set to channel 2 and the other to channel 3. I also have the corresponding white dashes and descriptions of lights at the bottom of the MAIN FLASH screen and all of the speedlights are set to manual triggering. Ill reset everything and try again this weekend. If Im still a moron on Monday, Ill give you a call. Thanks again!

Shane

Before you do anything, scroll to the ALL channel setting (this is to the left with the left joystick). Press in on the right joystick, this should fire all lights (as well as take a meter reading, but this function is not pertinent at this point). If it does fire all lights, scroll through each channel and see if they are now working.

Hey, I figured it out on my own! I had channels 2 and 3 disabled in the light settings screen. I didnt realize those settings applied to the channel, even if the light on it had no effect from the settings. Thanks for your help!

If the lights were in STANDBY, then on the main screen there would have been a gray dash and no white dash at the bottom of the screen. This is a visual cue so that you do not have to dig into the menu to find out.

I am glad everything is working for you.
