I'm considering buying an ABR800 ring flash and want to handhold mount/trigger it on a Nikon d600. Since the d600 does not have a sync jack, I'm not sure how I could trigger it. I have never used a hot shoe adapter, and not sure if I'd be able to utilize TTL with it.

Any ideas on how I could accomplish this? My goal is to do event photos in varying conditions.
Thanks
Bt

The hotshoe adapter we offer would work to connect the ABR800 to your D600. TTL is not possible with our flash units, or any other studio lights, under any circumstances. There are, however, hotshoe adapters with a pass through hotshoe, so a speedlite could be mounted and used in the TTL mode (presumably as a trigger for other TTL flashes). However, mixing TTL and manual flash can be challenging at best.

Our adapter can be found here: http://www.paulcbuff.com/hsa.php
