I have a D90 along with the CyberSync Transmitter and a couple CSRB receivers. I have no issues firing my lights remotely. I just got a D7000 and when I put the transmitter on that, it will not fire my lights. I'm guessing I need something else, or a setting in the camera needs to be changed. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks, Hank |

Have you used the transmitter on another camera, or do you currently have another camera to try it on (even an old film camera)? Or, do you have another hotshoe triggered device (i.e. speedlight) to verify the hotshoe is active? There are camera settings which can disable the flash in many Nikon and Canon cameras. Unfortunately, I am not familiar enough with this camera to tell you where to start other than the manual or menu. |

The D7000 works great with two of my speed lights. A Nikon Speedlight and a Vivitar Speedlight. I have gone through the D90 settings and compared to the D7000 and don't see anything obvious jumping out at me. I think there is something different about the hotshoe that is different on the D7000 that may be different. I'm continuing to research and not finding any help. |

Yes, the CST works great on the D90, has been for about 2 years. I love the CST and the CRSB's. Never had any issues with them on my lights (with the D90). Just can't get the darn thing to fire from the D7000. |

With the CST mounted to the D7000, press down on the CST and try to take a photo. Do the lights then trigger? |

Well Support Master, something worked, or at least it's working, sort of. When I got home, I pulled out my main CST (I say that because I have a spare, just in case. Never know when shooting something big, what may fail at the wrong time), and put it on the D7000 camera, push down and fire away, bam, it triggers the CSRB on the light. I stood there with my mouth open, scratching my head and thought wow, never would have guessed. I pulled out the D90, put the main CST on it and then it would NOT fire. So now I have it working on the D7000 and not the D90. I did NOT change any settings on the camera, both firing AUTO mode. I pull out my spare CST, and put it on the D90 and it triggers the light. Take it off and put it on the D7000, and it does NOT fire the lights. Now I am really scratching my head. Because before, both my main and spare CST ONLY worked on the D90. This is how I knew it wasn't the CST or the CSRB, but a setting or something else on the camera. Four days later, I redo my exact same testing again with each CST on each of the cameras and got different results. I am a computer analyst, so I know when you are testing and getting inconsistent results, it's frustrating. The CST are exact duplicates. So I labeled one for the D7000 and one for the D90. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy to have both units working, for each of my cameras. Just a little puzzled (but can live with) why they each like one camera. I would be willing to try any other test with the CST's if you want, but for now, I am okay. Thanks Hank |
