Hello, My new Einstein won't automatically dump the excess voltage when I lower the output. I have to press the test button to dump the power. Do I have to send the Einstein back or is there something else I can try first? Thanks |

How long are you waiting, and how much of a change are you making? From full to minimum, it takes about 11 seconds for the light to automatically dump. |

If I go down 1 stop from full power, I have to press the test button. It won't dump the power. I tried it at different ratios. |

I assume you are looking at the back panel? If so, you can see the power bars move up and down, but the ready screen does not turn green? Also, if this is not already the case, try this without any remotes involved (the multi pin remote. 1/8 sync jack remotes are fine). If the light still is not dumping, then there is something wrong. Please contact our customer service department for assistance in getting this corrected under warranty (given its stated age). |
