Ok can y'all help this is the first time I am trying to use my CST and CSR I have them hooked up and the red light flashes on the CST when I press the shutter button the test button on the CSR will fire the flash but I cannot get my camera to fire the flash. I am using a canon 5d II.

Most likely your CST and CSR are on different frequencies. On each dial, there is a slot cut across it. On one end, this slot is cut deeper, and usually appears darker. This end is your selection indicator, and should point to the desired frequency.

In other words, the dial is not set to 1 and 9 (for example), rather it is set to 1 or 9. It does not typically matter which frequency you choose, but they must match on each remote. Odd numbers are listed, even numbers fall unlisted in between.

Once you change frequency, press the test button twice to re-sync the remotes.
