With the receiver connected to the light, and the light and receiver on do the following:

Press the gray test button on the receiver. Does the flash fire?

Remove the cord from the receiver. Does the flash fire as you remove the cord?

Press the red test button on the flash unit. Does the flash fire?

It fires when you remove the cord from where?

If it fires when you remove it from the light, but not when you remove it from the receiver, you probably have a faulty cord.

If it fires when you remove it from the receiver, but not from the receiver's test button, then the problem is in the receiver. This would require warranty service or replacement (depending on warranty status).
