My Cybersync trigger has a slight looseness when on my hotshoe (nikon d800) and won't fire unless I very gently push the trigger while shooting. Is there a way to increase how far down that contact travels?

On most cameras, the CST fits really tight. You have to make sure you push it all the way to the front of the hotshoe. Don't have a D800 here to test further. If this doesn't resolve the issue, contact info@alienbees.com and we'll replace it . . . could be a fluke.
