Strange heat, moisture & buzzing/gurgling noises from my power pack since it has charged overnight!

I posted a movie with sound here, and a few pics might also help show the strange, out of the blue symptoms! I unplugged it due to smell, heat & noises:







Do you think this is a power company kind of cause, dried out electronics, or ?

How old is the VII? Is the smell sulfuric (rotten eggs)?

How long has it been since its last charge? Was left to sit with a depleted charge for a long period?

Is the battery itself hot? Is it bloated, warped, ruptured, or otherwise damaged?

It appears that the battery has reached the end of its useful life, and has sulfated.
