I just received my new WLs and a Vagabond II. After Plugging it in for the first time, I noticed that there was a humming sound and wanted to know if this is normal or an indication of a problem with the unit now or as time goes by...Thanks in advance.

The VII will have a buzz/hum sound when initially charging. Two noises will be heard. One is the fan that is thermostatically controlled, and may turn on and off periodically. Another sound is more of an electric hum/buzz. This is normal, and dissipates as the battery charges.

I just got my new vagabond yesterday and experienced the same thing... once it was done charging overnight, the humming/whine went away.

Can't wait to break it in! :)

Likewise, I am excited about the PLM that arrives tomorrow.

I got mine today, its all charged up and ready to roll.
