Warning: This is kind of a stupid question, but here goes anyway:

Can I use the WLPA Speedring with Alien bees and a photoflex Litedome Softbox???

Before you slap yourself in the forehead, please just here me out.

Right now I have two of the old WL10,00 and one of the WL5,000 lights. I also have an old large size photoflex litedome soft box that USED to work fine with my WL10,00 / 5,00 lights... until we moved and I LOST my WLPA adapter.

I am thinking of getting another WLPA Speed Ring adapater to use with my Litedome Softbox, but since I will probably eventually get some alien Bees to replace my WL10,000, I would prefer to buy something that will work with BOTH the WL10,00 and an Alien Bee.

It's hard to justify spending $55 (after shipping cost) for a speedring to fit a strobe that I would like to replace sooner rather than later.

Again, I know that this is probably one of the craziest questions you have had in a while (probably since the LAST time I asked something on the forum), but I gotta ask anyway.

Thanks in advance.

No. The shaft of the WLPA is too large to fit into the umbrella holes of the newer lights.

Ok, Thanks.

I had hoped to come up with something that would work with my current and future set up, but I guess that is not going to work out...

Really wish I could figure out where my old WLPA went off to. I guess being organized pays off.
