Hey Folks, Just started testing with the new Omni Reflector. it really puts out the light! RICHRYAN Thank you for posting these. They look exactly like what OMNI™ is supposed to do. F10 at 40' from a 320Ws AB - I'm impressed. What ISO? |

You are welcome Paul. Thank you for developing this product. ISO 100 Perhaps it was closer to 30ft away from subject, I just guessed, sorry if I am off. I will try it next with My Einstein and pay closer attention to set up and distance. |

Certainly no need for sorry. 30' or 40', no big deal. Getting f10 at 30' at ISO100 from 320Ws certainly demonstrates you don't need 2400Ws or super close lighting to overpower the sun. Yes, you have to aim such a narrow angle reflector carefully outdoors when you don't have a modeling lamp to guide you. But how else are you going to get this sort of performance? Thanks again. |

If you are getting F10 at 30ft, how wide, edge to edge, will this hold up, say within one stop. Just curious, I have a football team shot next week. |

This is a narrow 30° reflector, so won't light a whole football team well from 30-40'. It should light an 8' circle to 1f evenness at 15', 16' circle at 30', 32' circle at 60', etc. (without diffuser). If you stuff the team into a tight group you might be OK at 40-60' Probably have to do some test shots to get it aimed perfectly. If you look carefully at RichRyan's shot you can see the size of the circle by the falloff on the bottom corners - he had the OMNI aimed slightly high. |

Here I had Einstein's on either side of the subjects. Omni reflector, Camera Left (closer to camera) 11" Sport reflector, camera Right (further from camera, more of a rim light) Aim is critical Around 30ft from subjects, Einstein -2 f stops, ISO 100 f7.1 1/320th Nikon D800 Partly Cloudy, sun behind clouds at this moment and facing camera. Hard to compare the reflectors here, because of mixed in ambient light, angle not exact side to side, and different skin tonalities.
