I just got my ABR800 and can not seem to get my lens hood to fit on the lens while it is mounted in the ringflash, and without the hood I do not get the same result.

The ringflash will accept any lens 4" in diameter or smaller, this would include the hood as well, which very well could exceed that diameter.

What difference are you seeing without the hood?

I use to shoot with those lenses and i dont see a difference..i own a 7d 8-)
