If I need to use a VERY wide open aperture (like f/1.8) and I want the light to be VERY close (about a foot from the subject), can I pull one of the flash tubes from an Ultra 600 to cut the output in half? Or will this damage the light or flash tube? Also, would it make the light particularly uneven if you are using only one flash tube in a large softbox (32X46) or a beauty dish? Thanks in advance. |

Won't hurt anything, and won't affect the pattern from a softbox to speak of. |
