Hi there, Paul and Tech Support:

I just got a new mounting block and L umbrella bracket from PCB for my Ultra 600.

I see how to assemble the mounting block to the L bracket, and I see how the L bracket slides into the rails on an Ultra 600 similar to a cold foot sliding into a hot shoe.

But I need help tightening the L bracket to the rails. What keeps the L bracket from sliding along the rails on the sides of the Ultra?

I see two very small recessed screws that are diametrically opposite one another (they straddle the channel for the umbrella shaft in the L bracket). Are these two screws supposed to be tightened?

If so, can you please let me know what size bit it takes?

I tried a 1.5mm hex head wrench and it seems to small. My 2mm hex head wrench seems to big.

I don't own a 1.75mm hex head wrench but am happyt to go out and buy one if that is the right wrench I need.

Thanks in advance.

I carry a 1/16" hex head (long stem) wrench with a big handle in my bag. Seems to work fine for them since 1990. Don't know if a 1.7mm will work as it is 0.004" larger.

I also put the thing near the front and tighten the two screws down to counterbalance the modifier.

Thanks for the suggestion, Mack.

I will try to find a 1/16th hex head tonight.

Thanks again.
