I could swear I had some modifier that went onto the Ultras that was pointed upward behind the subjects to keep it narrow, and reflected onto the background paper directly behind them. I think one side was black or solid, and the opposite side facing the background paper was open or maybe a white glass?

Can't find it, but swear I had one at one time. :?:

Is this what you are thinking of?

http://www.paulcbuff.com/ubr.php The UBR stands for Ultra Background Reflector.

hmmm...

Could be. I thought the housing outer shell was black though - or maybe I painted it.

Also, I could swear the thing had two curved barn doors on the side of the opening to control the spill coming out of the opening.

.......

Found a photo of it and it looks like a current Norman background thing: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/3 ... ndoor.html

Did Buff have a similar one way back, or an adapter for Norman to Balcor/Buff mount?

Thanks.
