Hello,

I was wondering if it would be possible to use the PLM reflectors à la Briese, that is being able to concentrate or spread the light by moving forward or back the strobe attached to the cage assembly rods.

What do you think?

Yes, focus can be adjusted by moving the umbrella up or down the position shaft, or by sliding the 8mm shaft on such PLM's back and forth in the umbrella mounting tube. Onthe speedring version, there is not a pre-drilled hole for every possible position, so tightening the screw to the position shaft will keep it in place.

Focusing most affects the Extreme Silver PLM's, and to a lesser degree the Soft Silver PLM's. White is not really focus-able, so it will have little change.
