Post subject:  Importance of Einstein frosted dome

The frosted dome on one of my Einsteins fell off while changing a modifier (I probably had the clamps too loose) and shattered. Given that shipping costs are more than the price of a replacement dome, how critical is it to replace it?

Thanks,
anthony

It homogonizes the model lamp and the flash tube so the WYSIWYG between the two is more accurate. It may also even out patterns on some reflectors, especially 3rd party or maybe older reflectors. Overall, there should be little to no harm in not using it.

Great Thanks. I guess I'll wait until my next order to add it in.
